Prince William<\/a> jokingly referenced his wife when making Cornish pasties, which has led to royal fans swooning in a new viral video. The Prince of Wales visited Cornwall on March 5 to celebrate St Piran’s Day and meet communities affected by Storm Goretti<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n For part of the Prince’s engagements<\/a>, he visited the family-run farm and bakery, Gear Farm Pasty Company, where he made pasties and served them to customers. At Gear Farm, the prince made a pasty alongside employees and told them, “I can take full criticism” as he admitted his savoury snack looked like a “slightly ill crab”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As he struggled to fold over the pasty, he joked with a 7-word comment: “This is where I need my wife.” Adding, “She would be all over this.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n During his tour of the bakery, the Prince of Wales observed pasty production<\/a> firsthand and had the opportunity to try his hand at making the Cornish delicacy alongside staff members as he perfected iconic pastry crimping techniques.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n To the amusement of employees, he also took an order over the phone from someone who was buying frozen pasties and fresh pasties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The prince said: “Do you want me to take an order from you? Ten frozen pasties, and we have got plenty of cooked ones, just made some fresh ones now.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Gear Farm founder David Webb said they were “very honoured” to receive the royal visit, according to the BBC<\/a>. The businessman said the farm was badly hit during Storm Goretti.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Fans online have commented on the viral video, with one exclaiming: “I love his sense of humour!! He is amazing!” Another wrote on X: “Got to love him and his humour.” A third said: “How adorable!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Later, William will visit Helston Community Fire Station to thank firefighters and multi\u2011agency teams who worked around the clock during the devastating storm in January, and join a discussion on lessons learned and how Cornwall came together in difficult conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n At the fire station, William handed over a box of 50 freshly baked pasties he had brought from Gear Farm to thank the emergency services for their work during Storm Goretti.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
