Jamie Lee Curtis revealed how she thought her career would end after her 2003 hit with Lindsay Lohan. <\/strong><\/p>\n If you grew up in the noughties, you\u2019ll remember the hit, coming of age film<\/a>, Freaky Friday. <\/em><\/p>\n The film, which starred Curtis<\/a> and Lohan as they played a strait-laced mother, and rebellious teenage daughter who end up switching bodies and lives temporarily.<\/p>\n The film actually went on to give us the best Curtis scene, of her playing the electric guitar for her solo in Pink Slip\u2019s Take Me Away song.<\/p>\n Did you know she was actually playing the instrument?<\/p>\n Anyway, Curtis was a success in the flick, and it just added to her decades of amazing cinematography entries.<\/p>\n But the Halloween <\/em>actress believed that it would be the end of her work.<\/p>\n Jamie Lee Curtis revealed why she thought her career was over (Disney)<\/cite><\/div>\n According to her, she was worried it would be the final stop after reaching her 40 and being a \u2018little chubby.\u2019<\/p>\n However, the 67-year-old told Page Six that things changed for her when she was able to take control.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, until recently, I was not in charge of creating my own work,\u201d she said during the premiere of her new film, Scarpetta<\/em>, on 3 March. \u201cI was always at the mercy of someone else hiring me.\u201d<\/p>\n However, it was 15 years after Freaky Friday <\/em>that she was able to take charge of her work for 2018\u2019s sequel to Halloween.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201c[It] gave me enough of a platform to create a business where I could be my own boss,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Calling the industry \u2018ageist\u2019 and a \u2018misogynistic business in many ways\u2019, she went on to defy the odds regardless.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a practical person,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve known the industry for a very long time. My parents were in an industry where they were more famous than I will ever, ever be, and the industry rejected them at a certain point.\u201d<\/p>\n Her dad was Tony Curtis<\/a>, who was the 1960\u2019s Spartacus<\/em>, and her mom was the infamous Psycho <\/em>Janet Leigh<\/a>, who was killed in the shower scene.<\/p>\n
