Former G.O.O.D. Music<\/a> affiliate CyHi<\/a> has shared a new song airing out his grievances with the Kanye West<\/a>-led label. The six-plus minute \u201cThe G.O.O.D. Ole Days,\u201d which CyHi said<\/a> on social media chronicles \u201cmy side of the story,\u201d addresses the rapper\u2019s relationships with Ye, Travis Scott<\/a>, Kid Cudi<\/a>, erstwhile label president Pusha T<\/a>, and more. Ole Days\u201d is structured as an interview with the podcast and radio host Gina Views, and opens with a number of questions including \u201cWhat\u2019s your current relationship with Ye\u2014is there one?<\/em>\u201d CyHi proceeds to lay out his thoughts on G.O.O.D.\u2019s past decade, acknowledging that West is responsible for much of the upheaval at the label but rapping: \u201cSometimes Kanye could be a little difficult \/ I get it, but I understand him in a different way \/ Y\u2019all just know the beautiful dark twisty Ye.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n Addressing Scott, CyHi alleges that their relationship soured when, after co-writing Scott\u2019s 2018 smash \u201cSicko Mode<\/a>,\u201d he couldn\u2019t get the Astroworld<\/em><\/a> rapper to record a guest verse for him in return. \u201cWhen I helped him with his album, it went like 11 [times] platinum<\/em>,\u201d CyHi raps, \u201cbut I still ain’t got my swap and he mad that I’m even askin’<\/em>.\u201d CyHi also touches on his connection with Kid Cudi, which he says suffered during the rapper\u2019s 2022 public dispute<\/a> with West. “It could have got real ugly \/ They said that Ye almost fucked around and killed buddy<\/em>,” CyHi raps. “And that’s why they relationship is still muddy \/ And I’m caught between it all.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n Of all the artists mentioned on \u201cThe G.O.O.D. Ole Days,\u201d Pusha T receives the most favorable shout-out, with CyHi calling him \u201cthe realest<\/em>\u201d and comparing his work with the label to when Colin Kaepernick \u201ctook a knee for the team<\/em>.\u201d \u201cHe never took a fee, he gave me them verses and hooks for free,\u201d<\/em> CyHi says. \u201cWe stayed tight through all the G.O.O.D. Music beef, \u2018cause we both learned about loyalty in the streets.<\/em>\u201d CyHi concludes the track by teasing a new album, The Story of Mr. EGOT<\/em>. It will be his first proper LP since his 2017 debut No Dope on Sundays<\/em><\/a>, which featured Scott, Cudi, Ye, Pusha T, and more.<\/p>\n CyHi signed to G.O.O.D. in 2010, shortly after appearing on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy<\/em><\/a>\u2019s \u201cSo Appalled\u201d and less than a year before the label entered into an exclusive distribution contract with Def Jam. Over the years, G.O.O.D.\u2019s roster has included Big Sean<\/a>, John Legend<\/a>, Common<\/a>, Mos Def<\/a>, Q-Tip<\/a>, Teyana Taylor<\/a>, Desiigner<\/a>, Valee<\/a>, 070 Shake<\/a>, Kacy Hill<\/a>, and more. The label\u2019s production arm, Very Good Beats, also counted Evian Christ<\/a>, Hudson Mohawke<\/a>, and Charlie Heat among its in-house producers. CyHi left the label in 2015, and later signed with Sony Music.<\/p>\n Def Jam ended its affiliation with both G.O.O.D. and Ye in 2021, after the release of Donda<\/em><\/a>. Pusha T, who was appointed G.O.O.D.\u2019s president in 2015, announced in 2022 that he had stepped down<\/a> from the role. Speaking with XXL<\/em><\/a> at the time, Pusha T explained that he was no longer on speaking terms with West, and disavowed antisemitic remarks West made during an appearance on Alex Jones\u2019 Infowars<\/em>.
