A body found in Arizona has no connection to the ongoing case regarding Nancy Guthrie<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n

Days after a woman was found dead along a canal in Phoenix, the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Office addressed the speculation about the cases being linked, telling TMZ<\/a> on Sunday, March 8, that they have \u201cnot been notified of any connection reference that case to the Nancy Guthrie case.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke on February 1 that Nancy, 84, had disappeared from her Tuscon, Arizona, home. (Tuscon, Arizona, and Phoenix, Arizona, are more than 100 miles apart.)<\/p>\n

Nancy, who was reported missing by a family member who called 911, had last been seen one night prior while having dinner with daughter Annie Guthrie<\/strong>. (Nancy shared daughters Annie and Savannah<\/strong> and son Camron<\/strong> <\/a>with late husband Charles Guthrie<\/strong>, who died in 1988.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tQuestions still remain after Today show host Savannah Guthrie\u2018s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing. The Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department confirmed the news on February 1, sharing a missing person report via X. Nancy was described as a \u201cvulnerable adult\u201d who was last seen \u201cat her residence\u201d within Arizona\u2019s Catalina Foothills area on the evening [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Since Nancy\u2019s disappearance, Savannah, 54, has been absent from the Today<\/em> show. Instead, former Today<\/em> coanchor Hoda Kotb<\/strong> has stepped in and is hosting alongside Craig Melvin<\/strong>. Savannah, however, returned to the Today<\/em> show offices earlier this month to see her coworkers.<\/p>\n

\u201cSavannah Guthrie stopped by the studio this morning to be with and thank her TODAY<\/em> colleagues,\u201d a Today<\/em> spokesperson said in a statement on Thursday, March 5. \u201cWhile she plans to return to the show<\/a> on air, she remains focused right now supporting her family and working to help bring Nancy home.\u201d<\/p>\n

One day later, Melvin told Today<\/em> viewers that Savannah returned to Studio 1A with a message of \u201cfaith and resilience.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted you to know that I\u2019m still standing, and I still have hope, and I\u2019m still me,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos addressed reporters during a news conference on Sunday, February 1, after the 84-year-old was reported missing earlier that afternoon. \u201cThis is very concerning to us.
