Ghostbusters<\/em><\/a> and Charles in Charge<\/em> star Jennifer Runyon<\/strong> has died at the age of 65.<\/p>\n

According to her friend and Bewitched<\/em> actress Erin Murphy<\/strong>, who shared the news via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, March 8, Runyon \u201cpassed away after a brief battle with cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox News<\/em><\/a> also reported on Sunday that a representative confirmed Runyon had battled cancer for six months.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly<\/em> has reached out to Runyon\u2019s team for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHollywood mourned the deaths of some of its most legendary stars in 2026. The year started off with Broadway performer and influencer Bret Hanna-Shuford\u2019s death at age 46. At the end of the month, comedy acting icon Catherine O\u2019Hara died at age 71. In February, Designing Women\u2019s Camilla Carr died at age 83, Dawson\u2019s Creek [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The outlet also reported on a Facebook post shared by Runyon\u2019s family. \u201cThis past Friday night, our beloved Jennifer passed away. It was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family,\u201d the post reportedly read. \u201cShe will always be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to her family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Facebook post continued, \u201cShe\u2019s looking down on all of us with her beautiful smile. Rest in peace our Jenn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Runyon portrayed a young student who underwent a paranormal assessment conducted by Bill Murray<\/strong>\u2019s Peter Venkman in 1984\u2019s Ghostbusters<\/em>. She later played Gwendolyn Pierce in season 1 of Charles in Charge<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Murphy, 61, shared a photo of her with Runyon via her Instagram tribute, captioning the image, \u201cSome people you just know you\u2019ll be friends with before you even meet. She was a special lady. I\u2019ll miss you Jenn. My thoughts are with your family and beautiful children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Runyon is survived by her husband, Todd Corman<\/strong>, whom she married in 1991, and their two children: son, Wyatt, and daughter, Bayley.<\/p>\n
