\u201cSaturday Night Live<\/a>\u201d host Ryan Gosling<\/a> grew frustrated as a surprise appearance from Harry Styles<\/a> \u2014 next weekend\u2019s emcee and musical guest \u2014 totally distracted him during his monologue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The actor, who is making media rounds for his movie \u201cProject Hail Mary,\u201d swiftly pointed out Styles as the pop star sat in the front row so he could \u201cget a feel for\u201d his upcoming hosting gig.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSo professional, that\u2019s awesome,\u201d said a nervous Gosling as Styles calmly watched along with the rest of the crowd.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As Gosling pitched his sci-fi movie using a floating model Earth to his side, he emphasized that \u201ceveryone you know\u201d and \u201ceveryone you\u2019ve ever heard of\u201d has lived out their lives on the planet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n But the \u201cSNL<\/a>\u201d cameras were focused on Styles, who was nodding along to Gosling\u2019s monologue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWhy are we on Harry Styles?\u201d Gosling asked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know, I\u2019m just listening,\u201d Styles replied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWell, could you listen less cool?\u201d Gosling wondered. \u201cIt\u2019s like your coolness is becoming a bit of an issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n As Gosling tried to march on, the \u201cSNL\u201d crew rolled out a split screen of Styles and the actor. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n And when Gosling asked to \u201cget rid of the split screen,\u201d the crew took him out of frame as Styles seized the entire screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cC\u2019mon, what\u2019s going on with camera two?\u201d asked Gosling before learning that the cameraman was rocking an \u201cI \u2764\ufe0f Harry\u201d tee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The actor later revealed how Styles is linked to \u201cProject Hail Mary\u201d by noting that his co-star Sandra H\u00fcller sings the \u201canthem of our generation\u201d in the movie: Styles\u2019 2017 number \u201cSign of the Times<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n (Peep more of Styles\u2019 surprise \u201cSNL\u201d appearance and Gosling performing the 2017 song with the show\u2019s cast below.<\/strong>) <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
