The biggest public appearance by the Royal Family since the
\narrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is set to take place in London
\nlater today.<\/p>\n
King Charles and Queen Camilla will lead the royals as they come
\ntogether for the annual Commonwealth Day service.<\/p>\n
Along with the Prince and Princess of Wales, The King and Queen
\nwill gather at Westmisnter Abbey.<\/p>\n
The Princess Royal, along with her husband, Sir Tim Laurence,
\nwill be present. The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will also be in
\nattendance.<\/p>\n
It will be the biggest public gathering of the Royal Family
\nsince former prince, Andrew, was arrested at his temporary home at
\nWood Farm in Norfolk late last month.<\/p>\n
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was detained by officers on suspicion
\nof misconduct in public office and was released, 11 hours later,
\nunder investigation.<\/p>\n
His new home, as well as his former residence at Royal Lodge on
\nthe Windsor estate, were searched at the same time.<\/p>\n
King Charles said, in the hours after his brother\u2019s arrest, that
\nthe course of law must be allowed take place.<\/p>\n
The King and Queen, as well as William and Kate,, will join
\n1,800 guests at Westminster Abbey for the service which this year
\nhas a focus on collaboration.<\/p>\n
The inspiration has come from the Commonwealth Heads of
\nGovernment Meeting (CHOGM) 2026 theme Accelerating Partnerships and
\nInvestment for a Prosperous Commonwealth.<\/p>\n
However, the royals have seen a different form of collaboration
\ntaking hold among several leading members of the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n
Following calls for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to be removed
\nfrom the line of succession, Australia and Canada\u2019s political
\nleaders have said they support the idea.<\/p>\n
The former prince is currently eighth in line to the throne. As
\ncalls grew louder in the UK for his removal, Australia and Canada\u2019s
\nprime ministers said they would go along with that move. For anyone
\nto be taken out of the line of succession, all fifteen realms where
\nCharles III is sovereign would have to agree.<\/p>\n
