Former CBS News anchor Josh Elliott<\/strong> filed for divorce from New York City-based journalist Liz Cho<\/strong> \u2014 and details of their messy split are being revealed.<\/p>\n

Us Weekly\u00a0<\/em>can confirm that Elliott filed for divorce in June 2025. Page Six<\/em><\/a> broke the news of their split months later, in March 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe marriage of the parties has broken down irretrievably,\u201d documents obtained by\u00a0Page Six<\/em> read. In Cho\u2019s November 2025 response to the initial filing, she used similar terminology, revealing that their relationship had \u201cbroken down irretrievably.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elliott and Cho met while they were working at ABC and dated for two years before he proposed to her in August 2014<\/a>. They got married the following year in a July 2015 ceremony hosted in California. (Elliott was previously married to Priya Narang<\/strong>, with whom he shares daughter Sarina. Cho, meanwhile, split from ex-husband Evan Gottlieb<\/strong> in 2012. They share a daughter, Louisa, born in 2007.)<\/p>\n

The duo were gearing up to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary when Elliott filed for divorce in June 2025.<\/p>\n

Why Did Josh Elliott and Liz Cho Split?<\/h2>\n

Details about the reasoning behind their split are currently unclear. However, Page Six<\/em> reported that Cho requested all correspondence between Elliott and \u201cany person, other than the defendant, with whom [Elliott] have or have had a romantic and\/or sexual relationship, from July 11, 2015 to the present\u201d in her November 2025 filing. Cho also requested \u201cmonthly checking account statements\u201d along with documents regarding his travel history from January 2020.<\/p>\n

Elliott has challenged the requests, claiming they are \u201cunreasonable, unnecessary, harassing and not likely to lead to the discovery of admissible evidence,\u201d per the docs.<\/p>\n

According to a Page Six s<\/em>ource, this is a \u201cstandard\u201d request, noting that there hasn\u2019t been any evidence that Elliott was unfaithful.<\/p>\n

Following his divorce filing, it appeared that Elliott and Cho were still living in their joint Connecticut home. Cho alleged in January 2026 that Elliott had a moving truck come to their home while she was out of town and moved a \u201csignificant amount of furniture and furnishings from the marital residence,\u201d plus their two dogs.<\/p>\n

Cho alleged that \u201ca valuable watch and earrings\u201d had also been taken, per documents obtained by Page Six<\/em>. She claimed that Elliott had possession of the jewelry, which he has denied.<\/p>\n

A court hearing is set for March 20, 2026.<\/p>\n
