Dax Shepard<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is happy to report that Jessica Alba<\/span><\/a><\/strong> hasn\u2019t forgotten about their past fling.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll speak for myself. I\u2019m at the age where anyone who will own up to having dated me, I\u2019m kind of like, very proud of that,\u201d Shepard, 51, shared on the Monday, March 9, episode of the \u201cArmchair Expert<\/span><\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cI can give you an example.\u201d<\/p>\n

Long before becoming a podcast host, Shepard said that he had the opportunity to go on \u201ca couple of dates\u201d with Alba, 44.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to be clear. We were not dating, dating,\u201d he shared with guest Amanda Peet<\/strong>. \u201cBut Jessica Alba, a long time ago, 20-something years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2017, the pair reunited to star in the Netflix dark comedy thriller El Camino Christmas<\/i>. When the project first started, Shepard was convinced that Alba didn\u2019t want anyone to know about their dating past.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in the makeup trailer, and I\u2019m thinking, \u2018Oh yah, she doesn\u2019t want anyone in here to know this\u2019 because that\u2019s where my self esteem is,\u201d he said with a laugh. \u201cAnd then, she yelled across from the other end, \u2018Remember when we used to make out.\u2019 I was so flattered that she wasn\u2019t embarrassed she had made out with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shepard went on to date Kristen Bell<\/strong> in 2007 and the pair have been together ever since. They officially tied the knot in October 2013 and have two daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do 45 days or multiple years,\u201d Shepard joked about his dating past. \u201cI\u2019m either 90 days or I\u2019m many, many years. I don\u2019t have a bunch of one-year relationships. \u2026 There was another costar, very short-lived, it was a five-month deal and that was around 1999. I can\u2019t remember from what movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Alba, she was married to Pair of Thieves cofounder Cash Warren<\/strong> for 16 years before their divorce was finalized in February 2026. The couple share Honor, 17, Haven, 14, and Hayes, 8. (Alba is currently dating<\/span><\/a> actor Danny Ramirez<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n
