Unlike Griffin, however, he was 21 before he debuted, whereas Griffin could debut before his 20th birthday in April if he <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsnetpittsburgh.com\/2026\/03\/08\/how-ben-cherington-addressed-pirates-konnor-griffin-decision\/\">makes the Opening Day roster<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, it\u2019s still an exciting comparison.
