Dakota Johnson is stepping into her latest role \u2014 as a Calvin Klein Girl. The iconic American brand unveiled the Materialists<\/em> actress as the ambassador of its spring 2026 campaign on Monday, releasing a California-cool campaign video.<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s partnership with the brand shouldn\u2019t come as a total surprise. Ahead of Monday\u2019s announcement, Calvin Klein teased its new brand ambassador on social media by posting two campaign photos<\/a>, captioned, \u201ca new icon will be revealed.\u201d Fans were quick to identify the woman as Johnson, thanks to her distinctive back tattoo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cCalvin Klein jeans and underwear have a timeless quality that makes everything feel right the moment you put them on,\u201d Johnson said in the campaign\u2019s press release<\/a>. \u201cWhen a woman is alone at home working or reading or doing whatever, it can feel quite liberating and sensual. Channeling that, and pairing that energy with Calvin Klein’s iconography, felt both singular and classic. I love that this campaign celebrates being comfortable, free and sexy on your own terms. Sometimes, a woman just BEING is the sexiest thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the video, Johnson is seen lounging in a midcentury-modern home in an array of Calvin Klein pieces \u2014\u00a0 reading a script and basking in the California sun in the brand\u2019s new sculpting bra, playing\u00a0pool in Calvin-branded underwear and dancing on her bed in baggy blue jeans.<\/p>\n

Johnson told Elle<\/a> that collaborating with Calvin was a no-brainer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking with Calvin at this moment feels very symbiotic with where I am currently in my life,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m at a place in my womanhood where I feel quite calm and centered. I spend a lot of time at home. I feel very comfortable in my body. Doing the denim and underwear campaign in the tone of very laid-back sensuality felt like it\u2019s just a sort of truth of where I\u2019m at right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson\u2019s Calvin Klein campaign feels rooted in a cool nonchalance \u2014 a sexiness that comes from being totally confident in your own skin.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the sexiest clothing items are the ones that make you feel good in your body. Feeling good in clothes changes your energy and physicality,\u201d she added. \u201cSometimes being in a big ratty T-shirt is the sexiest thing in the world. Sometimes being in lacy lingerie makes you feel like a garbage can. For me, it\u2019s all about the way something makes me feel.\u201d<\/p>\n
