Tyriq Withers responded to the notion that he is an “internet boyfriend” and Sexiest Man Alive title contender at the premiere of his new movie Reminders of Him<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n The 27-year-old actor is on a hot streak after starring in 2025’s I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em> sequel and the football-themed horror Him<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Reminders of Him <\/em>is in theaters March 13<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Tyriq Withers<\/a> does not necessarily agree that he’s an “internet boyfriend<\/a>,” but he’s happy to be in the conversation.<\/p>\n “Oh my gosh – what? I hear crickets in my head,” Withers, 27, tells PEOPLE at the Monday, March 9 premiere of his new movie Reminders of Him<\/em><\/a>, when asked about internet chatter that he could be a future PEOPLE Sexiest Man Alive contender. “I\u2019m like, \u2018Really?\u2019 I mean, if y’all have me, I’ll be grateful and thankful. I don’t know why you’d pick me, but I’m here. I’m here.”<\/p>\n When asked if Withers is aware he has been coined an “internet boyfriend,” the actor adds, “Those are your words. I never signed up for that. I think the beautiful thing about it is I just show up to these interviews and just bring myself, and I’m just glad people resonate with that. It is validating that you don’t have to be anybody else but yourself.”<\/p>\n Withers broke out in Hollywood in 2025 with notable roles in last year’s I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em> sequel and the football-themed horror movie Him<\/em>. He takes a turn at the romance genre in the new movie Reminders of Him<\/em>, an adaptation of author Colleen Hoover<\/a>‘s 2022 novel of the same name that costars him with Maika Monroe<\/a>.<\/p>\n
