While heavier artists like Rage Against The Machine<\/strong>\u2018s Tom Morello<\/strong>, Lamb Of God<\/strong>\u2018s Randy Blythe<\/strong>, Disturbed<\/strong>\u2018s David Draiman<\/strong>, Limp Bizkit<\/strong>\u2018s Wes Borland<\/strong>, Kid Rock<\/strong>, Ted Nugent<\/strong> and numerous others have been vocal and encouraging their peers to raise their voice on political and cultural issues in these trying times, at least one hard rock legend would prefer they all keep their mouth shut.<\/p>\n While KISS<\/strong> bassist\/vocalist Gene Simmons<\/strong> has been known to have an opinion on just about everything from questioning rap\u2019s place in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame<\/strong><\/a>, to proclaiming proclaiming rock & roll is dead<\/a>, the 76-year-old would prefer politics stay out of art \u2014 at least when it comes to celebrities.<\/p>\n Simmons<\/strong>, who was presented with the Kennedy Center Honors<\/a> personally by U.S. President Donald J. Trump<\/strong> alongside his KISS<\/strong> bandmates last December, and has made conflicting statements regarding Trump<\/strong> over the years, recently was interviewed by TMZ<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n When it was pointed out by the publication that recent videos shared by The White House on social media and more have drawn criticism from the actors and musicians for unauthorized usage of their work and likeness, often resulting in statements regarding their political beliefs, Simmons<\/strong> sarcastically fired back [transcribed by theprp.com]:<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody in the world should listen to what actors and comedians say, because they\u2019re so qualified.
