<\/a>PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDEN \u2014 Daniel D\u2019Addario has made his career as a journalist covering the entertainment industry and all its intrigue. When it came time for him to write a book, the topic was a no-brainer: he drew inspiration from the world he had been writing about for years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Built on D\u2019Addario\u2019s insider knowledge as chief correspondent at Variety, \u201cThe Talent\u201d dives deep into the world of five actresses vying for success \u2014 and maybe connection \u2014 in Hollywood.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The author didn\u2019t take a break from his demanding day job to write the novel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s the classic thing that writers say: evenings and weekends,\u201d he joked in an interview with the Brooklyn Eagle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe Talent\u201d was released in paperback last month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n D\u2019Addario, born in Connecticut, found his way to Brooklyn after he graduated from Columbia University. A four-bedroom apartment in Crown Heights with friends kicked off his time in the borough.
