Liza Minnelli<\/a> claimed in her new memoir that Gene Hackman<\/a> was \u201cdownright rude\u201d on the set of their 1975 film Lucky Lady<\/a>. In Kids, Wait Till You Hear This! \u2014 released on March 10 \u2014 the elder daughter of Judy Garland<\/a> opened up about what it was like to work with Hackman behind the scenes. \u201cI don\u2019t like to whine, but [director] Stanley [Donen] later shared publicly that Gene was very dismissive of me during the film,\u201d Minnelli wrote, per Entertainment Weekly<\/a>. In Lucky Lady<\/a>, Minnelli, 79, played Claire, a singer who promises to help two businessmen \u2014 Kibby Womack (Hackman) and Ellison Walker (Burt Reynolds<\/a>), who were also best friends \u2014 smuggle alcohol from Mexico to the U.<\/div>\n
