Billie Eilish<\/a> is eyeing the big screen.<\/p>\n

The music star is in talks to make her feature acting debut with Oscar-winning filmmaker Sarah Polley<\/a>\u2019s adaptation of Sylvia Path\u2019s classic 1963 novel The Bell Jar<\/a>. Polley, who earned an Oscar for her script for 2022\u2019s Women Talking<\/a>, is penning the screenplay that adapts the book.<\/p>\n

Focus Features<\/a> has landed the project that hails from Plan B Entertainment<\/a> and StudioCanal<\/a>. Joy Gorman Wettels<\/a>, known for Little House on the Prairie<\/a> and 13 Reasons Why<\/a>, serves as producer. After originating the project through her company Joy Coalition<\/a>, Gorman Wettels packaged The Bell Jar<\/a> with Eilish<\/a> and Polley and brought Plan B<\/a> and StudioCanal on board.<\/p>\n

The best-selling novel centers on the mental health journey of college student Esther Greenwood as she takes a role at a magazine.<\/p>\n
