After spending nearly a decade in the dark world of Gilead as star of The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/a>, Elisabeth Moss<\/a> is onto some lighter \u2014 though still murderous \u2014 fare.<\/p>\n

The actress has been developing an adaptation of Araminta Hall<\/a>\u2019s novel Imperfect Women<\/a> since 2019, following three longtime friends whose lives are upended when one of them is murdered and secrets start to be uncovered.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t Moss\u2019 specific plan to have the series be her Handmaid\u2019s follow-up \u2014 as the project faced delays due to the pandemic and Hollywood strikes \u2014 \u201cbut I did know that I wanted to do something very different from Handmaid\u2019s, and much more fun and much more entertaining and more of a water cooler show,\u201d she told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> at the show\u2019s L.A. premiere on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
