Frankie Muniz<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has been acting since childhood<\/a> \u2014 but that doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s an automatic fan of his peers.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod I hate hearing actors talk,\u201d Muniz, 40, confessed via X<\/a> on Wednesday, March 11.<\/p>\n

The Malcolm in the Middle alum<\/a> then asked, \u201cDo I sound like such a tool when I talk?<\/p>\n

Muniz got mixed responses to his public confession, with one user telling him, \u201cYou\u2019re somewhere in the middle\u201d when it comes to being a tool.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust don\u2019t talk politics and you\u2019re fine,\u201d a second user suggested via X.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe worst is actors talking to other actors,\u201d a third person claimed. \u201cYou know their egos are off the chart, but they know how awful it would make them sound if they showed that, so they go with over the top humility about themselves, but then say all the things they really feel about themselves, about other actors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Muniz is one of many child stars who, after finding success in Hollywood, stepped back from the craft as an adult.<\/p>\n

Muniz got his acting start in 1997 with a part in the TV movie To Dance With Olivia. In 2000, he landed his breakout role of Malcolm on Malcolm in the Middle<\/a>, shooting the young actor to superstar status. He was just 13 at the time.<\/p>\n

Muniz quickly became a go-to actor for numerous teen films, including Big Fat Liar and Agent Cody Banks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFrankie Muniz felt a multitude of emotions reprising the leading role in the upcoming Malcolm in the Middle revival. \u201cIt was kind of written as a two-hour movie,\u201d Muniz, 39, shared in Us Weekly\u2018s cover story about the \u201csurreal\u201d experience of being back on set. \u201cIt\u2019s one story line, basically \u2026 I wondered for so [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

After Malcolm in the Middle ended in 2006 after seven seasons, Muniz continued with voice work on several animated series and made cameos on multiple TV shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cBetween ages 8 and 21, I maybe had 60 days off,\u201d Muniz exclusively told Us Weekly<\/a> in September 2025 of his demanding Hollywood career.<\/p>\n

During the height of his fame<\/a>, Muniz decided to walk away from the spotlight and pursue other passions, later becoming a professional race car driver. The former actor has also become a touring musician. (Muniz moved from Los Angeles to Arizona in 2008 to focus on racing. He announced in 2025 his plans to be a full-time NASCAR driver<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so lucky [that] taking that step back happened, because it made me appreciate everything more,\u201d Muniz shared with Us of his decision to leave the entertainment business behind. \u201cIt allowed me to do other things and realize a lot more about myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to racing and playing music, Muniz is a devoted family man. The former actor married model-turned-photographer Paige Muniz<\/strong> in February 2020<\/a>. The couple welcomed their son<\/a>, Mauz, in March 2021.<\/p>\n
