Meanwhile, Meghan\u2019s spokesperson said that the brand was \u201cready to stand on its own\u201d, with a statement reading: \u201cAs Ever is grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe have experienced meaningful and rapid growth, and As Ever is now ready to stand on its own. We have an exciting year ahead and can’t wait to share more.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Now, King Charles\u2019 former butler Grant Harrold claimed that the day the change was announced was quite significant, as it happened during the same week as the anniversary of the Sussexes leaving their royal roles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Speaking on behalf of CasinoHawks<\/a>, Mr Harrold said that he believes this will be a \u201creflective time for the couple\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said: \u201cIt feels like a strange decision. To have the backing and support of a major name like Netflix feels like a positive, but it sounds like Meghan believes she doesn\u2019t need it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cAnd of course, we have to remember she\u2019s done this kind of thing before. Her blog, The Tig, was hugely successful, so she knows what she\u2019s doing in this area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s also interesting that it comes just a few days before the anniversary of Meghan and Harry officially leaving their royal lives behind. It\u2019s now been six years since the couple carried out their last duty – the Commonwealth Day Service in 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI imagine this is a very reflective time for the couple each year, so I think it says a lot that this announcement has been made this week.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Elsewhere, he discussed Meghan starting to sell her products in the UK, claiming the King would have \u201cno issues with it\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added that if sent a freebie for the launch, the King would put it out during visits as an \u201colive branch\u201d to show his support.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He said: \u201cI would be surprised if the King and Queen buy any of their products, but never say never. It could be a good way of showing relations are going in the right direction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cIf she does launch in the UK, I imagine – or hope – that she would send them a few jars to try. And if she did, I think the King would definitely make sure they were out if Harry ever visits – just as a subtle little sign of support and an olive branch.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
