Later this month Robyn will finally release her new album Sexistential<\/a><\/em>. A lot of things have happened in the eight years since her last album\u00a0Honey<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0not least of which her becoming a mother for the first time. Today’s new(ish) single “Blow My Mind” is the one song on Sexistential<\/em> about Robyn’s three-year-old son.<\/p>\n Real Robynheads might recall the original version of “Blow My Mind” that appeared on her 2002 album Don’t Stop The Music<\/em>. The 2026 version kicks the tempo up a notch and reworks some of the original lyrics, adding in lines like “your unbearably cute scrumptious little face.” Robyn asserts, though: “It’s not cute, because it\u2019s not cute with children. They’re cute, but the experience isn\u2019t. It\u2019s very punk.” In a statement on social media, she adds:<\/p>\n Messy sensations, contradicting and fighting for attention, CUTE AGGRESSION, total devotion. “Blow My Mind” is another snapshot of my love life.
