The Scranton Brain and Behavior Conference will return to The University of Scranton on Saturday, April 18, further highlighting\u00a0the University\u2019s\u00a0role as an important hub for neuroscience and psychology education and research.<\/span><\/p>\n The undergraduate-focused conference will be held at the Loyola Science Center with registration beginning at 8 a.m.\u00a0The conference begins at 9 a.m. and will feature panels, poster\u00a0presentations\u00a0and a keynote lecture.<\/span><\/p>\n While registration fees are $5 for college students and $15 for faculty\/staff, the conference is free to attend for high school students and includes lunch.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis is a good place to see undergraduate students, college students, showing their research and for high school students to see what that looks like and learn about what it involves,\u201d said\u00a0Robert Waldeck, Ph.D., director of the University\u2019s neuroscience program.<\/span><\/p>\n Lisa Gabel, Ph.D., a neuroscience professor at Lafayette College, will deliver the keynote speech on the topic, \u201cDecoding Dyslexia: Translating Neuroscience Through Multidisciplinary Collaboration.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Faculty,\u00a0staff\u00a0and\u00a0undergraduate\u00a0and graduate students are encouraged to\u00a0participate\u00a0in an\u00a0abstract (talk\/poster)\u00a0submission.\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span>submission form<\/span><\/a>\u00a0is live.
