Gavin & Stacey star responds to Traitors rumours<\/span> BBC\/Toffee International Ltd.\/Tom Jackson<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Gavin & Stacey icon Ruth Jones has finally addressed whether she will appear in the second season<\/a> of The Celebrity Traitors. The all-star spin-off of the wildly popular BBC gameshow<\/a> launched last year with contestants including Jonathan Ross, Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, Celia Imrie, Cat Burns, and Alan Carr<\/a>.<\/p>\n Carr eventually took the win after being labelled the worst Traitor the show had ever seen, with a second season soon being confirmed after the show’s success.<\/p>\n Since the announcement, the rumour mill has been in overdrive, predicting which stars will be heading to the Scottish highlands<\/a>.<\/p>\n BBC<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Related: Best streaming services UK 2026 \u2014 including Disney Plus, Netflix, iPlayer and Apple TV+<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The Nessa actor has been among the popular names mentioned to appear as a potential cast member, including Danny Dyer<\/a>, Liam Gallagher<\/a>, Daisy May Cooper, and Bob Mortimer.<\/p>\n And while she confirmed that she “was asked” to appear on the second season, she is “not doing it”.<\/p>\n While being interviewed on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, she revealed: “I want to address this. I was asked about doing it, and I love the show, and I did think, ‘Wouldn\u2019t it be great to do it.’<\/p>\n “And then I thought, ‘Ah, you\u2019d have to swim in those lakes, you\u2019d have to put on wetsuits\u2026I\u2019d rather watch. So I am not doing it’.”<\/p>\n She continued: “However, so many people have texted me saying, ‘I hear you\u2019re doing Traitors.’ And I\u2019ve said, ‘No, I\u2019m not, it\u2019s not true.’ And then they come back and say, ‘Oh, you wouldn\u2019t tell us anyway.’ So I\u2019ve had to say, ‘Well, wait until it comes out, and then you\u2019ll see I\u2019m not on it’.”<\/p>\n BBC<\/span><\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Related: Where to buy Claudia Winkleman’s outfits from Strictly, The Traitors and more<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Former EastEnders star Danny Dyer has also addressed rumours over whether or not he has signed up for season two while on The Jonathan Ross Show.<\/p>\n “That\u2019s absolute b******s,” he told the host. “I don\u2019t know why they\u2019re saying it. If they ask me, I\u2019ll do it, but no one\u2019s asked me. I would f*****g declare it. I\u2019m not on it, you\u2019ll see when it comes on.”<\/p>\n The Traitors<\/strong> seasons one to four, and The Celebrity Traitors season one, are streaming on BBC iPlayer.
