Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson Dennis Quaid paid tribute to his late The Parent Trap<\/em> costar, Natasha Richardson, 17 years after her tragic death at age 45<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \u201cMy heart breaks every time,\u201d the actor said after being shown a scene featuring him and Richardson in the beloved \u201890s Disney film<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n “If there’s anybody I’d ever want to work with again, it’d be her,” Quaid added on the latest episode of the Out of Order <\/em>podcast<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Dennis Quaid<\/a> is reflecting on how \u201cmagical\u201d his late The Parent Trap<\/em><\/a> costar, Natasha Richardson<\/a>, was.<\/p>\n While speaking on the Tuesday, March 10 episode of the Out of Order<\/em><\/a> podcast, Quaid, 71, admitted, \u201cMy heart breaks every time,\u201d after being shown a scene featuring him and Richardson in the beloved \u201890s Disney film.<\/p>\n Natasha Richardson in ‘The Parent Trap’ In the 1998 flick, Quaid and Richardson play Nick and Elizabeth, exes whose twins Hallie Parker\u00a0and\u00a0Annie James (both played by\u00a0Lindsay Lohan<\/a>) scheme to get them back together. The film also starred Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter.<\/p>\n Richardson died in March 2009<\/a> at age 45\u00a0after suffering a head injury from a skiing accident. News<\/em><\/a> in 2024, “Natasha, God bless her. She passed from us about 10 years ago and she’s so sorely missed. What a beautiful, beautiful woman, great person.”<\/p>\n Asked where he thinks his character would be<\/a> after the events of the original film, Quaid hypothesized, \u201cI guess he’d be sipping some of the wine out of his vineyard, not traveling too far from home.”<\/p>\n “He’s still with Elizabeth,” he added.<\/p>\n Natasha Richardson and Liam Neeson in May 2008 Richardson\u2019s husband, Neeson \u2014 who\u00a0met the late actress while they were working on the 1993 Broadway production of\u00a0Anna Christie<\/em><\/a>, before they tied the knot in 1994 \u2014\u00a0 also spoke to PEOPLE<\/a> about his late wife in 2024, saying that their family “pulled together” in the wake of Richardson’s sudden death.<\/p>\n The Taken<\/em> actor said at the time that his primary focus became “making sure [the couple’s sons] were okay.” He added that his mother-in-law, Vanessa Redgrave<\/a>, and sister-in-law, Joely Richardson<\/a>, “were extraordinary” in stepping up to help the family.<\/p>\n
