Despite these shifts, the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/oldsettlersmusicfest.org\/mission\/\">mission<\/a> of <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/oldsettlersmusicfest.org\/\">Old Settler\u2019s Music Festival<\/a> has remained the same: to bring a legacy of American roots music to a new age of listeners while preserving a strong culture of family, friends and community.<\/p>\n<p>From April 17-19, Central Texans will gather to celebrate Americana music traditions, enjoy performances and eat local food at the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/southwest-austin-dripping-springs\/business\/2025\/11\/26\/39th-annual-old-settlers-music-festival-to-return-to-driftwood\/\">39th annual<\/a> Old Settler\u2019s Music Festival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The big picture<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Old Settler\u2019s is a nonprofit organization. As part of the foundation\u2019s mission, the festival hosts a youth talent competition every year. Participants receive mentorship from music-industry professionals and the opportunity to build their confidence on stage. Winners are invited to perform at the festival the following year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re very proud of this program,\u201d Old Settler\u2019s Music Festival President Betsy Boone said. \u201cIt&#8217;s a great way to help our youth and to support their career in the music industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digging in deeper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Attendees can camp for the weekend or go out for the day with a day pass to <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/campben.com\/\">Camp Ben McCulloch<\/a>. The festival also offers tent rentals and RV hookups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI encourage people to come out for a day and come listen to some music,\u201d Boone said about those who aren\u2019t sure if the festival or festival camping is for them.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center\">\n<figure class=\"image\" style=\"display:inline-block\"><figcaption>Old Settler&#8217;s will have a designated kids zone, featuring bubbles and activities.
