Trump likes to portray himself<\/a> as a successful businessman when, in fact, many of his ventures \u2015 including a casino, steaks and an airline \u2015 have flopped.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Yet somehow, the spike in oil prices \u2015 along with a jump in gas prices at U.S. pumps \u2015 reportedly caught the administration off-guard, according to a Politico report<\/a> cited by Colbert.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSomehow, President Businessman didn\u2019t see all this coming,\u201d Colbert cracked, adding in disbelief: \u201cYou were surprised that bombing the place the oil comes from makes the oil cost more?\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Trump himself posted about the price jump, calling it a \u201csmall price to pay<\/a>\u201d for the war effort. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cEasy for him to say. He doesn\u2019t pay for his own gas,\u201d Colbert said. \u201cThat\u2019s anyone who stands behind him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
