Thus, the verdict must be not guilty,\u201d Parnofiello said in his ruling.<\/p>\n<p>After the verdict was read, Goldberg <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/03\/12\/90-day-fiance-cole-goldberg-found-not-guilty-attempted-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told TMZ<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019m so glad the truth finally came out. I\u2019ve been dealing with this since 2022, so it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder. We had every confidence in Judge Parnofiello\u2019s ability to be fair to both sides of the aisle and to follow the law. Despite being a young judge, his sense of fairness, intelligence and reputation for following the law is undisputed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schwitzky, meanwhile, told the outlet that she is still processing the ruling, but promised to eventually speak on the news.<\/p>\n<p>Page Six has reached out to Goldberg\u2019s team. Reps for Schwitzky were not immediately available.<\/p>\n<p>Goldberg was originally arrested in April 2022 after he allegedly attempted to strangle and drown Schwitzky. <\/p>\n<p>In court, his attorneys argued that Goldberg had no intent to harm Schwitzky and he\u2019d been swimming in a strong current and was disoriented, leading him to grab Schwitzky by her shoulder in an attempt to stop himself from drowning, reports<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.palmbeachpost.com\/story\/news\/crime\/2026\/03\/11\/90-day-alum-caroline-schwitzky-testifies-ex-boyfriend-attempted-murder-trial\/89080906007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> the Palm Beach Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his court date, Goldberg rejected a plea deal that would have required six months in jail and opted to go in front of a judge in a bench trial.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Goldberg\u2019s attorneys argued in court that he (seen above taking a selfie with Schwitzky) was drowning in the water when he grabbed Schwitzky to save himself. <span class=\"credit\">carolineschwitzky\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Schwitzky, seen here smiling in a car selfie, testified in court that the incident took place after the exes got into a heated argument while on a boat at Boca Bash.  <span class=\"credit\">carolineschwitzky\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As we previously reported, Schwitzky wound up in the water after she jumped in to escape a drunken fight with Goldberg. <\/p>\n<p>The TLC alum recounted the events of the fight as she testified in court for nearly two hours on the second day of Goldberg\u2019s trial.<\/p>\n<p>She claimed the fight was initiated after Goldberg became upset with her for throwing around a football with another man on the boat.
