\u201cLate Show<\/a>\u201d host Stephen Colbert<\/a> on Thursday mocked President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s unusual pronunciation of \u201cKentucky\u201d when he spoke at an event there earlier this week. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Trump repeatedly called the state \u201cKeen-tucky,\u201d as seen in this clip: <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cHow can you not know how to pronounce that word?\u201d Colbert asked. \u201cIt\u2019s on every one of your chicken buckets.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n But it was another moment during the speech that really caught Colbert\u2019s eye.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Trump explained why he was keeping up the relentless assault on Iran, saying it was to protect the country from future presidents \u2015 but critics might say his choice of words was really a reference to himself. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not gonna count on having competent presidents,\u201d Trump said. \u201cWe have to assume we\u2019re gonna have incompetent ones.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cOh, he\u2019s so close to getting it,\u201d Colbert said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n He broke out his Trump impression to drive the point home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cLook, just for the sake of argument, we have to consider that someday, we might have the dumbest man alive as president,\u201d Colbert said in his Trump voice. \u201cI mean, am I right, Keen-tucky?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n See more in the Thursday night \u201cLate Show\u201d monologue: <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
