Meghan Markle<\/a> made a surprise visit to a children\u2019s hospital this week, where she met young patients. The Duchess of Sussex visited Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles on Thursday as part of the hospital\u2019s Make March Matter campaign.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For the first part of her visit, Prince Harry<\/a>\u2019s wife spent time in the Creative Oasis area of the hospital, where she watercolour-painted with the young patients. Meghan joined patients and staff in the calming activity for some time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The duchess, who was not accompanied by her husband on the visit, then spent time on the wards with bed-bound patients who were unable to leave their rooms. It was a visit reminiscent of those undertaken by her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The hospital wrote on Instagram<\/a> yesterday: \u201cToday we were honored to welcome LA\u2019s own Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA\u2019s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting alongside our incredible patients.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
