The Duchess of Sussex is continuing her charitable work<\/a> in her local community.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, Duchess Meghan<\/a> made a surprise visit to Children\u2019s Hospital Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While there, she stopped by the Creative Oasis area of the hospital, where she joined in watercolor painting with the children. Later, she took the time to sit with, talk to, and paint with young bed-bound patients in their rooms. \u201cThese special moments are a reminder of how powerful creativity can be in fostering joy, connection, and healing,\u201d CHLA wrote on Instagram alongside photos of Meghan with the kids.<\/p>\n

The duchess\u2019 happy visit came as part of CHLA\u2019s Make March Matter<\/a> campaign, \u201ca month-long fundraising campaign supporting the lifesaving care, research, and innovation that happens at CHLA every day,\u201d per the hospital. Funds raised go toward providing sick and critically injured children with the best quality care.<\/p>\n

For the important day, Meghan\u2014an L.A. native\u2014was lovely and casual in a white top and pants, plus a cozy beige cardigan. She wore a face mask to protect the children.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday we were honored to welcome LA\u2019s own @meghan<\/a>, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA\u2019s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting alongside our incredible patients,\u201d the hospital wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Meghan, who lives in Montecito, California, has two children with husband Prince Harry<\/a>\u2014Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4\u2014and has long made it one of her missions to advocate for children\u2019s health initiatives. Through their Archewell Foundation<\/a>, she and Harry tend to focus on mental health solutions<\/a>, such as tackling the issue of social media culture<\/a> and how it affects young kids and their development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
