The shows, produced in Los Angeles, are currently hosted by Mario Lopez, Kit Hoover, Scott Evans and Zuri Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Talk shows \u201cKaramo\u201d and \u201cThe Steve Wilkos Show,\u201d produced out of NBC\u2019s facility in Stamford, Conn., are also shutting down. The programs have already completed their production for the season and will run through the summer.<\/p>\n<p>NBC previously announced that <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2026-02-02\/kelly-clarkson-show-end-season-seven\">\u201cThe Kelly Clarkson Show\u201d<\/a> is also ending later this year after seven seasons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Steve Wilkos Show\u201d ran for 19 seasons. The host is a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment-arts\/tv\/story\/2023-04-27\/steve-wilkos-jerry-springer-dead-tribute-statement-nbcu\">former bouncer <\/a>for\u201dThe Jerry Springer Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Francis Berwick, chairman of Bravo and Peacock unscripted, said in a statement that the company will continue to distribute library episodes of its talk programs and network shows such as \u201cLaw &amp; Order.\u201d But NBCU\u2019s days of launching series for daytime and the hour before prime time are over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNBCUniversal is making changes to our first-run syndication division to better align with the programming preferences of local station,\u201d Berwick said. \u201cThe company will remain active in the distribution of our existing program library and other off-network titles, while winding down production of our first-run shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccess Hollywood,\u201d was first launched by NBC in 1996 as a competitor to for CBS Media Ventures\u2019 \u201cEntertainment Tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>First-run syndication allows producers to sell TV shows to stations on a market-by-market basis, instead of distributing them through a single network. This model was a major success for talk show staples like Oprah Winfrey or Ellen DeGeneres.<\/p>\n<p>But streaming has pulled viewers away from traditional television, as viewers can watch their favorite shows and movies anytime on demand.
