JoAnna Garcia Swisher reunites with Reba McEntire on ‘Happy’s Place’ in 2026

\u201cA single mom who works two jobs, who loves her kids, and never stops\u201d just reunited with her long-lost TV daughter.<\/p>\n
Nineteen years since Reba<\/em> went off the air, Reba McEntire<\/a> is once again sharing the small screen with JoAnna Garcia Swisher<\/a>, who played her eldest child Cheyenne for six seasons on the popular sitcom.<\/p>\n The 46-year-old actress guest stars on the March 13 episode of McEntire\u2019s NBC comedy Happy\u2019s Place<\/em> as Kenzie, an influencer hired to promote the eponymous Tennessee bar on social media \u2014 and their first scene together playfully nods at their TV family bond.<\/p>\n \u201cWhoa, you could be my daughter,\u201d remarks McEntire\u2019s character Bobbie, the owner of Happy\u2019s Place, when she meets Kenzie.<\/p>\n The guest role reunites Garcia Swisher not only with McEntire but also Reba<\/em>‘s Melissa Peterman, who plays Gabby, a bartender at Happy\u2019s Place. And the trio picked up right where they left off nearly two decades ago.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s like riding a bicycle, we just fell right back into it,\u201d McEntire gushed to Entertainment Tonight<\/em>. \u201cWe just had such a great time on the Reba<\/em> show, and for Jo to join Mel and me again here on Happy\u2019s Place<\/em> is just icing on the cake.\u201d<\/p>\n Melissa Peterman, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and Reba McEntire Garcia Swisher, who stars on her own show, Netflix\u2019s Sweet Magnolias<\/em>, got emotional talking about what it was like reconnecting with McEntire and Peterman.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been beautiful,\u201d she said in the same interview. \u201cIt\u2019s really been very heartwarming \u2026 coming back, it\u2019s family.”<\/p>\n And it wouldn\u2019t be complete without her TV husband, Steve Howey, Reba<\/em>‘s affable goof Van Montgomery.<\/p>\n \u201cWe might have crank called [him],\u201d Peterman admitted. \u201cWe\u2019ve annoyed Steve Howey so much these last few days,\u201d added Garcia Swisher. \u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018I never want you guys to spend this much time together.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The cast of ‘Reba’ Howey also guest starred on Happy\u2019s Place<\/em> in its first season, playing Danny, a wealthy businessman who Gabby meets at a dog park.
