Madigan earned her first Academy Award nomination in 40 years for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.<\/p>\n<p>She starred alongside Julia Garner and Josh Brolin.<\/p>\n<h2 href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/frankenstein_2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frankenstein<\/a>\u201d not only wrangled nine Academy Award nominations this year, but also placed ninth on the best movies of the year list with its score of 94 percent on the Popcornmeter.<\/p>\n<p>In the director\u2019s 2025 film adaptation of Mary Shelley\u2019s classic novel, Del Toro focuses on \u201cVictor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation,\u201d per the synopsis.<\/p>\n<p>The movie stars Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth and Oscar Isaac. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. \u2018Eternity\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cEternity,\u201d target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rottentomatoes.com\/m\/eternity_2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eternity<\/a>\u201d made a splash with audiences and found its way onto the best movies of the year list at No. 8.<\/p>\n<p>Starring Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner and Miles Teller, the romantic comedy earned a score of 90 percent on the site\u2019s PopcornMeter.<\/p>\n<p>The film explores the tough decisions one might be faced with when living \u201cin an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoan (Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Teller) and her first love (Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive,\u201d a synopsis for the film reads. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. \u2018Zootopia 2\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cZootopia 2\u201d captivated audiences and landed at No. 7 on the list with a score of 95 percent.  <span Rotten Tomatoes\u2019 Popcornmeter.<\/p>\n<p>Starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman and Ke Huy Quan, the animated children\u2019s movie is nominated for Best Animated Feature at this year\u2019s Oscars.<\/p>\n<p>The follow-up film follows detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Bateman) as they \u201cfind themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before,\u201d according to the synopsis. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. \u2018Predator: Badlands\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cPredator: Badlands,\u201d starring 6 with a 95 percent audience-rating.<\/p>\n<p>The sci-fi thriller, which stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, has fans calling it a \u201cmust watch if a fan of the predator movies!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Set in the future on a remote planet, the movie follows \u201ca young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and
