Steven Spielberg<\/a><\/strong> is yelling \u201ccut\u201d on Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s recent comments.<\/p>\n

Weeks after the Marty Supreme star said that \u201cno one cares\u201d about ballet and opera, the Jurassic Park director<\/a> is the latest celeb to address his controversial take.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, the real experience comes when we can influence a community to congregate in a strange, dark space where all of us are strangers,\u201d Steven said of the importance of movie theaters during a SXSW keynote conversation Mar. 13, per Variety<\/a>. \u201cAt the end of a really good movie experience, we are all united with a whole bunch of feelings that we walk into the daylight with, or into the nighttime with. And there\u2019s nothing like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt happens in movies, and in concerts,\u201d the 79-year-old added. \u201cAnd it happens in ballet and opera, by the way.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the audience applauded his remark, Steven continued, \u201cAnd we want that to be sustained. We want that to go forever.\u201d<\/p>\n

His comments come after Timoth\u00e9e, 30, spoke about various art forms in an interview with\u00a0Matthew McConaughey<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in February.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
