{"id":2328104,"date":"2026-03-14T16:30:39","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T16:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2328104"},"modified":"2026-03-14T16:30:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T16:30:39","slug":"how-seasoned-design-is-shaking-up-the-fan-experience-at-kcs-newest-outdoor-music-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/how-seasoned-design-is-shaking-up-the-fan-experience-at-kcs-newest-outdoor-music-site\/","title":{"rendered":"How seasoned design is shaking up the fan experience at KC\u2019s newest outdoor music site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 24pt;\">A<\/span> massive outdoor concert destination is rising in Riverside, promising to reshape the Kansas City region\u2019s live music scene when the 16,000-capacity Morton Amphitheater welcomes its first crowds this summer \u2014 replacing construction equipment with scores of fans in a space designed to make the most of their night out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt\u2019s actually really centrally located within the Kansas City overall metro area,\u201d said John Ahrens, executive vice president of design and construction at <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livenation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Live Nation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which operates the <\/span><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mortonamphitheater.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Morton Amphitheater<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> just west of the Argosy Casino and near the I-635 and US 69 interchange. \u201cWe have interstate access that goes into Kansas. Come and enjoy yourself. Creating a central hang space outside in the middle we thought was a really important element.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The space will include turf, seating areas and gathering spots designed to give artists a place to relax together before performing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFrom somebody who used to tour, this is great,\u201d said Tim Burris, general manager of Morton Amphitheater, a 35-year industry veteran who has produced and managed all-sized live entertainment and sporting events, including multiple Super Bowl Half Time Shows, Victoria\u2019s Secret Fashion Show, concerts, tours and music festivals, working with the likes of Van Morrison, BonJovi, John Legend and John Secada.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEverybody does become your family.
