Friday\u2019s box office receipts offered reminders that audiences love a good romance.<\/p>\n

The Colleen Hoover adaptation \u201cReminders of Him\u201d earned the No. 1 spot at the box office. The film\u2019s opening night raked in $8 million,\u00a0according to Box Office Mojo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The project is Hoover\u2019s third big-screen adaptation, following 2024\u2019s \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d and 2025\u2019s \u201cRegretting You.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReminders of You,\u201d featuring Maika Monroe, and Tyriq Withers (above), leaped to number one at the box office on its opening day. AP<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cReminders of Him\u201d follows Maika Monroe as Kenna, a mom who is trying to rebuild her life after getting released from prison.<\/p>\n

The cast also stars Bradley Whitford, Lauren Graham, Tyriq Withers, Jennifer Robertson and Rudy Pankow. <\/p>\n

Coming in second was \u201cHoppers\u201d with $7.1 million.<\/p>\n

The movie\u2019s success marked the end of a years-long losing streak for Pixar. The last opening weekend that scored big for the company was 2017\u2019s \u201cCoco.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUndertone,\u201d meanwhile, nabbed the third spot, grossing $4.3 million. The A24 indie film features Nina Kiri, Adam DiMarco, Mich\u00e8le Duquet, Keana Lyn Bastidas, Jeff Yung and Ryan Turner.<\/p>\n

Kiri stars as a paranormal podcaster who becomes haunted by recordings of ghosts.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the top five was Caleb McLaughlin and Stephen Curry\u2019s animated sports comedy \u201cGOAT\u201d with $1.2 million.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
