When she re-recorded<\/a> her 2024 song \u201cBye Bye<\/a>,\u201d Gordon replaced its lyrics\u2014which were half to-do list, half modern take on the Joan Didion packing list (\u201cCigarettes for Keller, call the vet, call the groomer, call the dog-sitter\u201d and \u201csleeping pills, sneakers, boots, black dress\u201d)\u2014with words stigmatized by our current administration: \u201cTrauma, privilege, uterus, men who have s\u0435x with men, measles, p\u0435anut allergy, abortion.\u201d The result is funny, in the you-can-laugh-or-you-can-cry sort of way.
