The pair were guided by traditional landowners of the park, senior Anangu tour guides.

King Frederick even had a taste of the local culture by trying a honey ant as he walked back from the waterhole.

Among the traditional owners guiding the royal tour was Valerie Brumby, a renowned artist local to the Mutitjulu community.

King Frederik X sported a sensible pale beige khaki outfit, swapping his crown for a bucket hat and a strapped black backpack. Queen Mary, who hasn’t visited the country since her husband ascended the throne, matched in a dark green khaki top and cap and light beige khaki shorts for the trip.

The national tour marks the first official visit of any Danish monarch in 40 years, but Muitjulu Waterhole has stunned familiar faces before, such as the British Royals, the late Princess Diana and then Prince Charles, and the Dalai Lama.

On Saturday night, the Danish royals learned about the creation of the land, or tjukurpa, from Uluru’s traditional owners as the famous cultural landmark shone not a fiery red but a stunning mauve on the cloudy, rainy day.

After touring the sacred and iconic site, the Danish Royals flew to Canberra, whether they met with Governor-General Sam Mostyn and signed the visitors’ book at Government House.

They were honoured with a 21-gun salute and met with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and his wife, Jodie Haydon.

After Canberra, they will tour Melbourne and Hobart.

‘ The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties ’

‘ Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.news.com.au ’

Danish royals King Frederik X and Tasmanian-born Queen Mary have visited one of Australia’s most iconic landmarks at sunrise in their latest trip Down Under.
