Continuing through the week, there will be a celebration of Women\u2019s History Month on Wednesday at the Brookline Village Library. There will also be a poetry night at Brookline Booksmith on Thursday, while ArtsBrookline hosts an open studio for attendees to stop by and learn about art processes and try it out themselves. On Friday and Saturday, Coolidge Corner Theatre will show shorts from the Boston Underground Film Festival. And on Saturday and Sunday, there will be a tale of friendship performed at the Puppet Showplace Theater. Sukhonos is multilingual, speaking Russian, English, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian, and holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University. Earlier this month, she released her third book, \u201cSunlight Trapped in Stone.\u201d Seaborn is Executive Editor of \u201cThe Adroit Journal\u201d and winner of \u201cThe Missouri Review\u201d Editors Prize in Poetry. Many of these short films offer bleakly funny commentary on contemporary societal ills, while others prioritize creepy atmosphere or body horror.
