Today, Carly Pearce<\/strong><\/a> released a new duet with Riley Green<\/strong><\/a> called \u201cIf I Don\u2019t Leave I\u2019m Gonna Stay,\u201d which was written by Devin Dawson, Seth Ennis, Jordan Minton and Jordan Reynolds.<\/p>\n Of course, they had the internet in a frenzy just with the teasers they shared getting very up close and personal, but the music video takes all of that to the next level\u2026 they played a beautiful couple in the video, and just like in the song, they know they shouldn\u2019t be together but letting that go is much easier said than done. There\u2019s some elusive magnetism that keeps pulling them back together, and I\u2019m always here for a good duet, and I love both Riley and Carly as individual\u00a0artists which makes it even more fun to see them working together on such a great song.<\/p>\n Carly says she\u2019s been a fan of Riley for a long time, and she made sure to find the perfect song for them to finally\u00a0collaborate on:<\/p>\n \u201cCollaborating with artists I\u2019m a fan of is one of my favorite things to do. I\u2019m glad she thought of me for this song, it\u2019s awesome to get to do something together.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I know fans will love the song, but will probably be more interested in the music video, which was directed by Wes Edwards and finds Pearce and Green grappling with the decision to see where the night takes them or to go their separate ways. It\u2019s full of tension, temptation, and considering how sexy it is, I can only imagine the comments and the rumor mill that will be stirred up by it\u2026<\/p>\n There are pretty much constantly rumors about Riley\u2019s dating life, but these two are labelmates and aren\u2019t dating (Carly also has a boyfriend), though it\u2019s safe to say that the internet probably won\u2019t care\u2026 but this kind of thing is a great way to get people talking about your song, that\u2019s for dang sure. I mean, usually that\u2019s kind of the point of this sort of thing\u2026 and I\u2019m not mad about it.<\/p>\n Obviously, Riley has a great track records with his female duets, and of course the two hits he did with Ella Langley come to mind first in \u201cyou look like you love me\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Mind If I Do,\u201d and I don\u2019t see why this one would be any different in terms of the quality of the song because Carly is also an incredibly talented artist who consistently puts out some of the best stuff in mainstream Nashville.<\/p>\n Her choosing Riley was not random by any means, and I hope they have a lot of success with \u201cIf I Don\u2019t Leave I\u2019m Gonna Stay\u201d because it really is a beautiful song and heartbreaking, sultry duets like this are a country music specialty.<\/p>\n But I won\u2019t go on, because I know the real reason you clicked on this article\u2026 you can watch the music video here:<\/p>\n
