White House Communications Director Steven Cheung<\/a> raged at Jimmy Kimmel<\/a>\u2019s latest diss<\/a> of President Donald Trump<\/a> and first lady Melania Trump<\/a>\u2019s documentary at the Academy Awards on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Cheung called the talk show host a \u201cclassless hack\u201d and more.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Kimmel presented the Best Documentary Feature and Best Documentary Short awards, quipping of the president, \u201cOh man, is he going to be mad his wife wasn\u2019t nominated for this.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

\u201cMelania,\u201d a vanity project that earned putrid reviews<\/a> from critics, got a box-office bounce at first and tailed off<\/a> to fall well short of its reported $75 million production and marketing budget<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Cheung reshared a snippet of Kimmel\u2019s barb with the following comment:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The late night host also praised the documentary nominees by noting \u201cthere are some countries whose leaders don\u2019t support free speech.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not at liberty to say which. Let\u2019s just leave it at North Korea and CBS,\u201d he continued <\/a>in a dig at the network\u2019s Trump-friendlier turn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In contrasting the nominated works with other doc fare, he snapped, \u201cThere are also documentaries where you walk around the White House trying on shoes.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kimmel, who had previously apologized for using blackface in comedy routines years ago on \u201cThe Man Show,\u201d also fired zingers at \u201cMelania\u201d last week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cBetween this and \u2018Sinners\u2019 it\u2019s been a big year for vampire movies,\u201d Kimmel snarked<\/a>. \u201cAnd while some might say that it is not a great look to be plugging your vanity project while your husband\u2019s bombing another country, Melania has never cared much about optics. She can\u2019t even pronounce optics.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kimmel was threatened by the Trump administration last year for a line about Charlie Kirk\u2019s killing, and his show was temporarily suspended. But he has not relented in mocking Trump since his return.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
