Lamb of God have unleashed the official music video for \u2018St. Catherine\u2019s Wheel\u2019, the latest single from their freshly released album \u2018Into Oblivion\u2019.<\/h2>\n

The Virginia metal heavyweights dropped their 10th studio album, \u2018Into Oblivion\u2019, last Friday (March 13th), and they\u2019re wasting no time keeping the momentum rolling, just days after the record hit streaming platforms and vinyl presses, the band returned with a new visual companion for one of the album\u2019s standout tracks.<\/p>\n

The video for \u2018St. Catherine\u2019s Wheel\u2019 was directed by Meriel O\u2019Connell, delivering a stark visual backdrop to the track\u2019s grinding riffs and Blythe\u2019s unmistakable roar.<\/p>\n

While Lamb of God <\/a><\/em><\/strong>have never shied away from tackling darker themes, frontman Randy Blythe<\/a><\/em><\/strong> says this song is rooted in something more collective than personal rage (per Metal Sucks<\/a><\/em><\/strong>):<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last line of \u2018St. Catherine\u2019s Wheel\u2019 is \u2018these savage days can\u2019t break us\u2019 and I use the term \u2018us\u2019 very specifically\u2026 I think community is going to become incredibly valuable in the next few years.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a sentiment that cuts straight through the modern metal landscape, Lamb of God have always thrived on the idea of the pit as a shared space, where thousands of strangers move as one violent, sweaty organism. Blythe\u2019s message leans into that same idea, just aimed at a much wider world.<\/p>\n

Built across three cities<\/h2>\n

\u2018Into Oblivion\u2019 came together in pieces across several locations tied closely to the band\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

Drums were recorded in Lamb of God\u2019s hometown of Richmond, Virginia, while guitars and bass were tracked at guitarist Mark Morton\u2019s home studio, Blythe\u2019s vocals were laid down at Total Access Studio in Redondo Beach, California, a room steeped in punk and hardcore history.<\/p>\n

The legendary space has hosted recordings from Black Flag, Descendents, and H\u00fcsker D\u00fc, adding another layer of grit to the album\u2019s DNA, longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur handled both production and mixing duties, continuing a partnership that has helped shape the band\u2019s modern sound.<\/p>\n
