Meg Ryan<\/strong>, 64, braved the crowds and flashbulbs for a rare appearance at last night\u2019s Oscars<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Joining forces with When Harry Met Sally<\/strong><\/em> co-star Billy Crystal<\/a><\/strong>, along with several other actors, she honored the late Rob Reiner<\/strong> onstage during the show\u2019s memoriam segment.<\/p>\n For the show, the Sleepless in Seattle<\/strong><\/em> star looked svelte in a long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder black gown. Slinky and sleeveless, the design also showed off Ryan\u2019s ink.<\/p>\n Located on her left art, Ryan’s tattoo says, \u201cLife is short,\u201d which she told The Los Angeles Times<\/strong><\/em><\/a> in 2016<\/strong> was sentiment she lives by: \u201cYou know what you know and you do what you do, and hopefully you’re just alive and curious,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n For the post-show party, the French Kiss<\/em><\/strong> actress left her signature curls down and paired her green gown with black heels and Briony Raymond<\/strong> jewels, People<\/strong><\/em><\/a> reported.<\/p>\n \u201cOh, how we will miss this man,” Ryan shared on Instagram<\/strong><\/a> about Reiner, who directed her rom-com hit When Harry Met Sally<\/em><\/strong>, in December 2025<\/strong>. “Thank you, Rob<\/strong> and Michelle<\/strong><\/a>, for the way you believe in true love, in fairy tales, and in laughter. Thank you for your faith in the best in people, and for your profound love of our country.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cI have to believe that their story will not end with this impossible tragedy, that some good may come, some awareness raised\u2026 I don\u2019t know, but my guess is that they would want that to be hopeful and humane, to be something that brings us all to a greater understanding of one another and to some peace<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Reiner, 78, and his wife, Michele, 70, were found stabbed to death on Dec. 14, 2025<\/strong>, in their Brentwood, California<\/strong> home.
