First of all, congratulations on the release of your new collaborative single, ‘find you’. You must be thrilled to be able to share this one. What has the initial reception been like so far?

mölly: Thank you so much. It’s always a special, and slightly scary, moment when a song that’s lived in a very private creative space for so long is finally released into the world. The response to ‘find you’ has honestly been pretty astounding. The track has received some wonderful editorial support, and the numbers have been growing quickly, but what has meant the most to me has been hearing directly from others. I’ve been receiving messages and even voice notes from listeners sharing how deeply the song has affected them. Hearing those reactions has been incredibly moving.

For me, one of the most meaningful parts of releasing music is realizing that something created from such a personal place can reach someone else in a moment when they need it, often in ways you could never have anticipated. Once it’s shared, the song almost begins a life of its own. People experience it through their own memories and emotions, and that’s something I’m deeply grateful for.

EG: What can you tell your fans about this new drop? What does ‘find you’ mean on a personal level?

mölly: ‘find you’ is a very personal song for me. It came into my life at a moment when I was trying to process something incredibly difficult. Someone very close to me had just shared that they had attempted to take their life, and I was still sitting with the weight of that news, trying to understand how to hold space for them. Around that same time, MØØNE sent me a topline that felt almost uncanny in its timing.

I happened to be in Barcelona when I first heard it. I remember walking through the city with her voice on repeat, carrying emotions I didn’t yet know how to articulate. At first, the song felt like it was about being the person who stays beside someone you love while they find their way back to the light. But somewhere in the process of making it, the meaning shifted for me. I realized I wasn’t only holding space for someone else, I was also finding my own way back toward it.

I think that’s simply part of being human. Sometimes we’re the ones holding the light for someone we love, and sometimes we’re the ones trying to find our way back to it. This song became a place where both of those experiences could exist at the same time.

EG: ‘find you’ sees you linking up with vocalist MØØNE. How did the connection come about? What was the collaborative process like?

mölly: MØØNE is one of my favorite artists to work with. I’ve always been deeply inspired by her work, and over time, we’ve developed a really special creative connection. I originally reached out to her because I had been thinking about singing on a few tracks for my upcoming project, so I sent her an instrumental to see if she might be open to writing something for me to record.

She ended up writing what would become ‘find you’, and when she sent the topline back, I remember listening to it on repeat and feeling completely overwhelmed by the emotion in her voice. I actually couldn’t stop crying. It felt as though she had somehow captured exactly what I was going through in that moment of my life. The way she performed it felt so honest and complete that I didn’t want to try to recreate it myself. Instead, it inspired me to rewrite the instrumental around her vocal. In many ways, the track became a space for me to process everything I was going through at the time, and from there, the music almost seemed to write itself.

“My intention is simply to keep creating from an honest place and allow the project to evolve naturally”

EG: What are some key aspects when collaborating with another artist? What would you consider to be a “successful” collaboration?

mölly: For me, a successful collaboration always begins with a genuine connection. The artists I tend to work with are people with whom I develop a sense of trust and openness very quickly. When that foundation is there, the process feels fluid and intuitive. Instead of trying to force an idea, you’re simply listening for what wants to emerge.

Some of the most meaningful collaborations I’ve experienced have happened when another artist hears something I’ve created and immediately understands the feeling behind it, without any explanation. In those moments, there’s a kind of shared intuition. Each person brings their own perspective, and together the music begins to take shape in a way neither of you could have planned on your own.

To me, that’s the real beauty of co-creating. When a partnership is truly in alignment, you are able to access something that feels bigger than either individual, and the collaboration begins to guide itself.

EG: You’re also a yoga teacher and seem to have a profound connection with your California surroundings. How does that translate into your music?

mölly: Living in California has definitely shaped the way I create. I live on the Pacific Ocean, surrounded by forest and mountains, and spending so much time in that environment has deeply influenced the emotional palette of my music. I often find myself gravitating towards vast sounds that evoke the same dramatic feeling I experience when I’m in my backyard.

Yoga has also shaped the way I approach creativity. One of the biggest lessons it has given me is trust — trusting the process, trusting intuition, and allowing things to unfold in their own time.

“One of the most meaningful parts of releasing music is realizing that something created from such a personal place can reach someone else in a moment when they need it”

EG: What would you like to accomplish as an artist this year?

mölly: This year feels like a moment of expansion for me. One of my main goals is to find a manager or team that truly understands the vision of the project and can help guide it forward. Up until now, I’ve navigated everything independently, which has been an incredible learning experience, but I’m starting to see how valuable it can be to have the right people around you.

At the core of it all, my intention is simply to keep creating from an honest place and allow the project to evolve naturally.

EG: What’s next for mölly? Where can your fans catch you next?

mölly: Right now, my main focus is finishing and sharing the body of music I’ve been working on over the past year. There are more releases on the horizon that I’m really excited about, and it feels special to let this next chapter of music find its way into the world.

On the live side, I’ll be playing across several cities over the next few months — London, Vancouver, NYC, Seattle, and LA, along with a few others that will be announced soon.

EG: Thank you so much for your time, mölly!
