In his first Daily Show broadcast following the Oscars, the political comic contributed his own joke to the now-two-week-long-simmering debacle, which kicked off when the Academy Award-nominated Marty<\/a> Supreme<\/a> star found himself in hot water for saying \u201cno one cares\u201d about ballet and opera and that he doesn\u2019t wish to be a niche artist.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut as of last night, it is clear that opera and ballet have defeated Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet,\u201d Stewart<\/a> said after Chalamet lost the Best Actor race to Sinners<\/a> star Michael B. Jordan<\/a>.<\/p>\n
