In her role of Colonel of the Irish Guards<\/a>, the future Queen arrived at Mon Barracks in Aldershot to attend the regiment’s annual parade and presented the traditional sprigs of shamrock to the Officers and Guardsmen who, in turn, distributed them along their ranks. Another special moment was when the Princess presented a sprig of shamrock to the Irish Wolfhound regimental mascot, Seamus.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

But there was a sweet interaction between the princess and a young girl who gave her flowers, which has gone viral on social media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fans noticed the heartwarming moment and expressed their jubilation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The princess attended the annual parade last year, after skipping it in 2024 following her major abdominal surgery in January of that year and subsequent cancer diagnosis that month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Catherine announced that she had been diagnosed with a type of cancer on March 22, 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Irish Guards’ 2024 parade took place on March 17. At the time, it was thought the princess was still recovering from her abdominal surgery back in January.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In January 2025, Catherine announced that she is in remission from cancer and has been easing herself back into royal life since then.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
