Lanterns<\/a> star Nathan Fillion<\/a> is swooping to the rescue of the HBO series\u2019 co-creator Damon Lindelof<\/a>, who cracked a seemingly harmless joke about the Green Lantern a year ago and is now getting some flack from fans and even a longtime writer of the comic book character.<\/p>\n

On a podcast last year, Lindelof made an apparently sacrilegious snipe about the superhero\u2019s favorite color. Asked why his upcoming adaptation was called simply Lanterns<\/a>, sans the Green, the Lost<\/a> creator said, \u201cIt\u2019s called Lanterns<\/a>, because we all agreed that the \u2018Green\u2019 was stupid, so now it\u2019s just Lanterns<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

As if that wasn\u2019t enough, fans noticed the lack of green in a Lanterns<\/a> teaser trailer, further fueling whatever this brouhaha might be called.<\/p>\n
