The Prince of Wales told stunned passers by that one of the
\nbiggest names in radio was \u201dhallucinating\u201d as the two joined forces
\nfor a very special reason.<\/p>\n

Prince
\nWilliam<\/a> met up with BBC Radio 1 star, Greg James, as the
\npresenter attempts to cycle 1,000 kilometres across England,
\nScotland and Wales to raise funds for Comic Relief.<\/p>\n

Greg James, who presents the flagship breakfast show, is riding
\na tandem along his epic route and is being joined by famous faces
\nalong the way. On today\u2019s list were Tour de France winner, Geraint
\nThomas, and top comedian, Joe Lycett. However, the biggest name had
\nbeen kept secret from Greg James.<\/p>\n

He appeared totally stunned when Prince William walked up to
\nreveal he was the latest person help on the epic cycle run.<\/p>\n

The royal reveal came as Greg James made an unexpected detour to
\na truck stop. He said he didn\u2019t know what to expect but he
\ncertainly didn\u2019t expect his new companion to be the heir to the
\nthrone.<\/p>\n

And as the two pedalled through South Yorkshire, his amazement
\ncontinued to show as he kept shouting to passers by that he had
\nPrince William on the tandem alongside him.<\/p>\n

The future king decided he hadn\u2019t had enough fun for the day. As
\nGreg James told one group of supporters that Prince William was his
\nfundraising partner, the heir to the throne said \u201dhe is
\nhallucinating\u201d.<\/p>\n

The two began their journey outside Doncaster and joked all the
\nway along their half hour cycle together.<\/p>\n

And Prince William brought more smiles as their time came to an
\nend, as he was able to tell Greg James that he has so far raised in
\nexcess of \u00a31 million for Comic Relief.<\/p>\n

The Radio 1 star was full of praise for Prince William, saying
\nthat \u201dI\u2019ve got so many flies in my mouth because I\u2019ve been cycling
\nwith my mouth wide open. All our jaws are on the floor from how mad
\nthat all was.\u201d<\/p>\n

William had already joined in the fundraiser, dubbed Radio 1\u2019s
\nLongest Ride with Greg James for Red Nose Day, by sending a message
\nof support as the quest got under way.<\/p>\n
