More than 150<br \/>\n                     safety and security professionals from across the country, representing all areas<br \/>\n                     of professional sports and entertainment, attended the sold-out forum.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The highly anticipated event brought together professional sports and entertainment<br \/>\n                     safety and security practitioners to address pressing challenges and share innovative<br \/>\n                     solutions to ensure safe environments for sports, venues and events.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe Professional Sports and Entertainment Safety and Security Forum remains an important<br \/>\n                     platform for collaboration across the industry,\u201d said Lauren Cranford, NCS<sup>4<\/sup> director of operations. \u201cBy bringing together security leaders and subject-matter<br \/>\n                     experts, we are able to share meaningful insights, discuss emerging risks, and gather<br \/>\n                     critical input that helps us continually update and strengthen best practices for<br \/>\n                     venues and events to support more secure environments.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The forum featured keynote speakers, expert panel discussions and moderated sessions<br \/>\n                     to review the <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ncs4.usm.edu\/resources\/best-practices\/\">NCS<sup>4<\/sup> Best Practices<\/a> for professional sports and entertainment safety and security. Topics included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Staff Training and Development<\/li>\n<li>Fan Behavior<\/li>\n<li>Communications<\/li>\n<li>Perimeter Security<\/li>\n<li>Severe Weather Planning<\/li>\n<li>Command Center Operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: var(--sans-serif);font-size: 1.25rem;\">General sessions covered the evolving threat landscape, security challenges related<br \/>\n                        to athlete harassment and stalking, festival safety, public-private sector partnerships<br \/>\n                        and information sharing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe forum was a fantastic opportunity for industry professionals to gather and share<br \/>\n                     lessons learned from their respective venues,\u201d said Paul Grohowski, MPA, security<br \/>\n                     manager, Orlando Venues. \u201cThe depth of experience among the attendees, speakers and<br \/>\n                     instructors at NCS<sup>4<\/sup> events is second to none. I would encourage anyone in the sports and entertainment<br \/>\n                     industry to seek out and attend any NCS<sup>4<\/sup> training workshops, conferences or forums in the future.
