You can hear all her discoveries live on 88Nine at 10 p.m. every Monday on <\/i>What\u2019s All This: Adventures in New Music<\/u><\/b><\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n New Zealand art-folk icon Aldous Harding just announced her fifth album for release later this spring and shared its lead single, \u201cOne Stop,\u201d which holds some delightful \u201970s vibes with its piano-forward structure (it almost ventures into Joni and Carole King territory.)<\/p>\n The 10 songs Harding picked for Train On the Island<\/i> were co-produced with longtime collaborator John Parish \u2014 who has worked with artists like PJ Harvey, Dry Cleaning and Sparklehorse \u2014 at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales. That\u2019s the same place the two recorded Harding\u2019s previous albums Party<\/i> (2017), Designer<\/i> (2019) and Warm Chris<\/i> (2022).<\/p>\n Train On the Island<\/i> arrives May 8, after which Harding sets off on an epic tour that includes a stop at Chicago\u2019s Thalia Hall on Sept. 18.
