Available now: Sign up here<\/a> for the best food, drink and entertainment coverage in Stanislaus County. <\/i><\/p>\n<\/div>\n Fans of Modesto actor Jeremy Renner and his \u201cMayor of Kingstown\u201d streaming series have a chance to appear in the show.<\/p>\n Renner also slipped a little intrigue about the future of \u201cKingstown\u201d into videos about a campaign for a walk-on role on its sweepstakes page<\/a> and on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n The opportunity offers the walk-on and more perks, with proceeds benefitting the Oscar-nominated actor\u2019s RennerVation Foundation.<\/p>\n Saying in videos that production is getting ready for what\u2019s been announced<\/a> as the final season of his Paramount+ series, Renner dropped a bit of a tease.<\/p>\n He described it as \u201cthe fifth and perhaps<\/i> final season,\u201d then added, \u201cWe\u2019ll see about that.\u201d<\/p>\n According to an online story on Men\u2019s Journal<\/a>, \u201cIt was a small moment, but the implication was clear enough to set social media buzzing. Mayor of Kingstown had previously been understood to be ending with its fifth season, making Renner\u2019s casual hedge the closest thing to a renewal hint the show has offered.\u201d<\/p>\n
